Sharing the longitude of California and the latitude of France, our state’s unique location affords us the opportunity to craft wines with perfect balance, intriguing complexity and an elegance that allows them to age gracefully.
Our Winemaking Philosophy
The fruit from Destiny Ridge and Alder Ridge Vineyards is a gift from Mother Nature. As caretakers, we hand-harvest our grapes when the fruit flavors are peaked, handle them gently through the fermentation process, and blend them to bring out the delicate nuances and distinct characteristics of our wines. Our goal is to produce exceptional wines that reveal the essence of the Horse Heaven Hills appellation and showcase the terroir of the vineyards. These fruit-forward wines are handcrafted with a delicate balance of tannins and acids, making them approachable when first opened, enjoyable both alone or with food, and able to age well in your cellar.
Heaven's Cave Cellars chooses to donate a portion of its profits from wine sales to cover 100 percent of the operating expenses of the Make The DASH Count Foundation. Before releasing wines under the Heaven's Cave brand, we launched The DASH Wine Project in 2003 as a means to put our philanthropy in action. The project was a unique opportunity to bring together some of Washington's most highly regarded vineyards and wineries and create small lots of world-class wines to be offered under the Make The DASH Count label. In October 2007 the first wines bearing the Heaven's Cave label were released. We are very grateful to our partners in The DASH Wine Project for helping us realize our goal while the Heaven's Cave brand was being created.
